How to call Canada from the US

Calling internationally doesn’t need to be difficult

Before you call...

Check these 3 things:

  • Are you calling a mobile number?

If you’re calling a mobile number in Canada, you’ll need to add a 1 before the area code.
  • Does the number have a trunk code?

A trunk code is a prefix added for domestic calls – you won’t need to dial it when calling internationally.
  • Is your phone set up for international calls?

Not all phones come with international calling out of the box. With GoTo Connect, you get free international calling to 50+ countries.
